Having plants in your space is wonderful. It makes you feel better when surrounded by plants, as they have the ability to bring life and coziness to any environment.

Extensive research conducted by NASA has revealed that houseplants can eliminate up to 87 percent of air toxins within 24 hours. Studies have also shown that indoor plants enhance concentration and productivity (by up to 15 percent!), reduce stress levels, and boost your mood.

Upon learning about the remarkable of houseplants, my curiosity grew, and I wanted to learn more. I began asking friends and different Facebook groups about their relationship with plant, Through a Facebook poll, I asked participants a set of questions about the plants, the number of plants they owned, of they knew they enjoyed having plants, the number of plants they owned, of they knew the plant types, and if they faced any challenge in taking care of them.

The results showed that people truly enjoy having plants, and it is not uncommon for them to have multiple pots at home. One common issue among respondents was a lack of information about their plants, leaving them unsure about how much water or sunlight their plants required. This particular problem inspired me to create PlantCare.

The app features a simple layout that helps you keep track of your plants. It can be divided into four main actions:

Home: This section allows you to manage all the plants in your catalog. PlantCare gathers local meteorological data and cross-references it with the botanical aspects of each plant in your catalog. It informs you when it’s time to water your green friends, taking into account local forecasts, sunlight conditions, humidity levels, and the specific needs of your plants. With PlantCare, your plants will thrive like never before.

Camera: To identify the types of plants you have at home, you can use the camera function. If you are unsure about a particular plant, the camera button will help you identify it.

Search: The app includes a comprehensive plant encyclopedia, allowing you to search and explore various plant species.

Other sections: The app may include additional sections to enhance the user experience and provide more features and information.

By using PlantCare, you can ensure that your plants receive the care and attention they need to flourish.
